Hey there! So a little about me.. I've been struggling with my weight my entire life, at least since I had to take prednizone (sp?) for my asthma when I was 8 or 9 and it made me so hungry! Two years ago, I decided I'd had enough and needed to lose weight, but I really didn't do it the right way. I exercised every day, starting with 10 min of running in place and working my way up to an hour during the weekdays and 2 hours on the weekend. I also really cut down my calories--eating very little breakfast, no lunch, and then using my remaining 1000 calories for dinner. Don't get me wrong, it did work, and I went from a size 12 to a size 2 in less than a year. However, I couldn't maintain this--I still do exercise an hour a day, mixing walking on my treadmill at almost maximum incline with pilates, but I started eating more, because, and I'll admit it, but I love eating and baking! :) But after gaining half the weight back, I decided I needed to change. Thus began my start on the Dukan diet and, 5 months later, I am (almost) back to where I was last summer when I was at my thinnest. I think my favorite thing about the dukan diet (other than you really don't have to limit the amount of food you eat) is that you can bake and make quite a bit, as long as you modify it slightly. I tried lots of different recipes, some good, some not so much, but I did want to compile and organize the ones I did find that I liked. Now on the third phase of the diet, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but many of these recipes were good enough that I could eat them regularly, Dukaning or not! :)
